Care that doesn't
clock out.
When our office is closed for doctor visits, an on-call physician is still within reach — by phone or video.
Whether it's a virtual visit, scheduling your next appointment, or finding and filling out forms — our team will help you get there.
How Virtual Care Works
Still your doctor's office.
When the office is closed for doctor visits — after hours on weekdays, on weekends, and on Tuesdays — you still have a way to reach care. You start with a call, and our staff helps you choose the right next step.
Not a call center. Your concern reaches a nurse, and a physician, who care for you just as we would in the office.
Start with a call
Reach our office and a team member points you in the right direction — paperwork, the patient portal, or where to go for what you need.
Talk to a nurse
For medical questions, our nurses — through Privia — can advise on most concerns and help decide what comes next.
A physician calls you back
If you need a doctor, an on-call physician reaches you by phone or video and cares for you just as if your own doctor called. Virtual visits bill to your insurance.
Virtual visits are billed separately and may have a co-pay. Have your insurance card handy, and text or call us with any billing questions.
Tuesdays
Open at the front desk,
covered for the rest.
On Tuesdays our office is open for administrative needs, but Dr. Stewart isn't seeing patients that day. Here's how to get what you need:
Need a form or paperwork?
Come by on Tuesday — we're open and here to help with forms, referrals, or anything administrative.
Need to see Dr. Stewart?
Give us a call and we'll do our best to find you the next available appointment. When it can't wait, virtual care keeps you covered.
Need care today?
A physician is available by phone or video through Privia Virtual Clinic — no urgent care required.
Some services may still be available in person on Tuesdays — call and our staff will help you choose what's right for you.
Before Your Visit
Two minutes of prep
and you're all set.
Once your visit moves to video, a couple of minutes of prep keeps it smooth. The most common snag is a camera or microphone blocked by your device — here's how to clear it before you join.
On a Phone
- Download the Privia Health app (App Store or Google Play), or open your visit link in your mobile browser.
- Sign in to your Privia account before the visit starts.
- When your phone asks for camera and microphone access, tap Allow.
- Use Wi-Fi if possible — video calls are more stable than cellular.
- If the call drops, check your confirmation text or email for a rejoin link. Your doctor may also call you back directly.
“Privia Health” Would Like to Access Your Camera
Required for your virtual visit
Tap Allow — you'll see a prompt like this.
On a Computer
- Use Google Chrome if possible — it's Privia's recommended browser. Edge and Safari also work. Internet Explorer is not supported.
- When your browser asks for camera and microphone access, click Allow.
- If you see a camera icon with a line through it in the address bar, click it to change the permission to Allow.
- Close Zoom, FaceTime, Teams, or any other app currently using your camera.
- If the call drops, check your confirmation email or text for a rejoin link. Your doctor may also call you back directly.

Helpful Tips
Set yourself up for success.
Insurance & medications
Have your insurance card and a current medication list nearby before you join.
Stay charged
Plug in your device or confirm your battery is above 20% before the visit begins.
Strong connection
Privia requires at least 20 Mbps. Not sure? Test at speedtest.net before your visit. If Wi-Fi is slow, try moving closer to your router or switching to a wired connection.
Good lighting
Face a window or a lamp so the doctor can see you clearly. Avoid sitting with a bright light behind you.
Be ready when the call comes
Your doctor will call you when they're ready. Have your device open, camera and microphone allowed, and a quiet spot picked out before you expect the call.
Open a fresh window
Open your virtual visit in its own browser window and close extra tabs. Other open windows can compete for bandwidth and slow the connection.
Questions or Trouble?
We're a message away.
Text or call — our after-hours care team will help direct you to the right point of contact. If you need to be seen urgently, we'll make every effort to fit you in same-day; when the schedule is full, virtual care gives you a way to be seen promptly.
