Vero Beach Adult Medicine was built by the same team behind Vero Beach Pediatrics — a practice with deep local roots, started because Vero Beach families wanted an alternative to how medicine has been delivered here. Not a call center on the other end of the phone. Not a different face at every visit. A practice where you know who answers, who works the front desk, and who your doctor is.

Board-certified internal medicine physician with more than 25 years of private-practice experience across the full spectrum of adult primary care, with particular expertise in women's health. Dr. Stewart moved to Vero Beach in 2022 and, after caring for veterans at the VA, is excited to return to the kind of private practice she spent most of her career building — one rooted in long-term relationships and continuity of care.

“I love how laid back Dr. Cruz is! She’s never rushed and comes across as actually being interested in my kids. We see her as their regular pediatrician for regular checkups, but we also had an emergency when my son split his knee open and it got infected after stitches at the ER. The office and Dr. Cruz didn’t take any chances and told me to take my son back to the ER and sure enough, his wound was infected. We’re also self pay as we are part of a health share program. I needed extra info to submit our bills to the program for reimbursement and the office staff were very patient and helpful in getting me that info.”
